DURBANVILLE HILLS WINE ROUTE WINES
Located in the Tygerberg Hills just 20 minutes from Cape Town, the area's unique terroir is shaped by its close proximity to the Atlantic Ocean.
This oceanic influence, with seasonal mists and cooling southeasterly breezes, slows the ripening of the grapes, giving the wines their distinct character.

The region is praised for producing a range of elegant wines, including other popular cultivars like Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Shiraz, and Chardonnay. The Durbanville Wine Route has a rich history that dates back to the 17th century, with some families having been making wine there for six generations. It offers a variety of experiences, from intimate country kitchens and fine dining to multi-generational family farms.
